Welcome to Saco Bay Kids Pediatric Therapy. We look forward to helping your child with their physical, occupational or speech therapy needs. Our highly trained clinical team will design a specialized plan of care that is just right for your child.

We offer patients access to our specialized CoreVia Pelvic Health program. CoreVia provides care - and relief - to children who experience pelvic floor dysfunction. Our highly skilled pelvic health physical therapists will help you feel your best.

Through experience, advanced clinical training and clear communication with our patients and their parents, our therapy team will assist your child in achieving their highest potential by reaching their developmental milestones for school, activity and life.

Our Team

Brianna Shaw, MOT, OTR/L, Center Manager

Bri received a bachelor's degree in human development at Rivier University in 2016 and a master's degree in occupational therapy at the University of Southern Maine in 2020. Bri has experience working with children and adolescents with various anxiety disorders, autism, emotional regulation challenges and developmental delays. She also has experience with neurological impairments and diagnoses such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida and Rett syndrome. One of Bri's specialty areas of practice is feeding therapy. She provides therapy to those with chronic feeding difficulties including sensory aversions and picky eating. She also specializes in infant feeding/bottle feeding and gastrostomy tube transitioning. Bri's favorite part about occupational therapy is getting to incorporate fun and meaningful activities that are unique to patients in order to help them achieve their goals. Bri loves to golf, hike and try new restaurants.

Abigail Mills, MSOT, OTR/L

Abby initially attended the University of Maine, Orono before transferring to pursue a master's degree in occupational therapy from Russell Sage College. She became interested in occupational therapy after volunteering with her high school's life skills classroom. During her clinical rotations, she gained experience in stroke and spinal cord injury rehabilitation and school-based pediatrics. Since joining the Saco Bay team, Abby has received specialized training in pelvic and feeding therapy on top of treating traditional occupational therapy patients. She sees pediatric patients at our Saco and Portland locations. She enjoys skiing, hiking, biking and golfing.

Ashley Houp, CCC-SLP

Ashley attended the University of Maine and earned a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders followed by a master's degree in speech-language pathology. She completed her clinical fellowship at Saco Bay Kids before earning a certificate of clinical competence and has since gained experience in a wide variety of pediatric communication disorders. Ashley loves working with the pediatric population and has experience in an array of disorders including articulation and phonology, language, fluency and pragmatics. She likes to travel and spend time with family, friends and her dog.

Brittnie Fredenburg, MSOT, OTR/L

Brittnie grew up in the Catskill Mountains in New York and attended Stony Brook University where she earned a bachelor's degree in psychology. Shortly after, she moved to Maine and worked as a school-based BHP for three years. She realized her passion for helping others was in growth and development. Brittnie graduated from the University of New England in 2020 with a master's degree in occupational therapy and has been working in pediatric therapy since. Brittnie is a senior feeding therapist and specializes in infant bottle feeding, picky eating, oral motor dysfunction, sensory aversions and gastronomy tube weaning/transitioning. She is passionate about play with purpose and enjoys all aspects of arts and crafts, nature exploration and cooking.

Rebecca Lynch, OTR/L

Becca graduated from Bay Path University with a master's degree in occupational therapy. She has attended additional courses on trauma informed care and feeding therapy. She volunteered with the Veteran's Adaptive Sports and Training program for three years, gaining experience using leisure activities to promote occupational therapy skills. Becca focuses on play-based activities and neurodiversity affirming care. She enjoys roller skating, horseback riding and spending time outside.

Emily Senter, MSOT, OTR/L

Emily graduated from the University of Maine in Orono with a bachelor's degree in psychology. After taking some time off from school and working in insurance, she completed a master's degree in occupational therapy at the University of Southern Maine. Emily gained clinical experience in her full-time fieldwork rotations in a school-based setting and working with adults at a residential mental health facility. She has experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, CP, down syndrome and challenges with emotional regulation and sensory processing. Emily also teaches dance for children of various ages. She enjoys spending time exploring Maine with her dog and husband, cross stitching while catching up on her favorite TV shows and trying out new restaurants in Portland.

Michelle Cawley, P.T., DPT

Michelle earned a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology in 2020 and doctorate of physical therapy from Husson University in 2022. Michelle has always wanted to work with children and has clinical experience in the school setting and inpatient rehab. She is excited to join such a supportive team who share the same values when it comes to childhood development. She enjoys skiing, hiking and mountain biking around Maine.

Leanna Dalfonso, P.T., DPT

Leanna graduated with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Gordon College and doctorate of physical therapy at Husson University. Leanna loves working with children of all ages and helping them achieve their full potential. Leanna has experience working with children with torticollis, developmental delay, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, idiopathic toe walking and numerous neurodevelopmental and musculoskeletal disorders. Leanna has completed training in Task Specific Electrical Stimulation and serves as a clinical instructor to students. She enjoys Irish dance and playing with her dog.

Quinn Normandeau, MSOT, OTR/L

Quinn attended the University of New Hampshire earning a bachelor's degree in occupational science in 2021 from the advanced master's occupational therapy program. She earned a master's degree in occupational therapy in 2022. During her clinical rotations, Quinn gained experience working in pediatric outpatient and pediatric inpatient behavioral health. Quinn has experience working with children with emotional regulation challenges, developmental delays, anxiety, depression, autism, down syndrome, ODD, ADHD and sensory processing challenges. Quinn has additionally received specialized training in feeding therapy. She enjoys reading at the beach, hiking and photography.

Kayla David, P.T., DPT

Kayla earned a doctorate in physical therapy in 2023 from South College. She completed her final clinical rotation with Saco Bay Kids and is excited to continue to serve this community. During her clinical rotation she gained experience working with children with a variety of diagnosis including torticollis and plagiocephaly, developmental delay, idiopathic toe-walking, cerebral palsy and more. She also has a keen interest in pelvic health therapy and is working toward certification. She enjoys exploring the outdoors, quilting, painting and trying new recipes.

Lauren Morin, M.S., CCC-SLP

Lauren earned a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders at the University of Maine and a master's degree in speech-language pathology at the University of New Hampshire. Lauren has always had a passion for working with the pediatrics population. She enjoys working in the areas of pragmatics, language, articulation and phonology and plans to expand her knowledge in feeding disorders. She enjoys traveling, exploring new places in Maine, spending time with family and friends and playing tennis.

Alena Woods, C.F., SLP

Alena attended The College of New Jersey and earned a bachelor's degree in English literature with a minor in creative writing. After working as an ESL teacher in Prague, she moved home and earned a master's degree in speech-language pathology at the University of Memphis. She enjoys working in the areas of early language acquisition, autism, literacy, phonology and fluency. She enjoys reading, writing poetry, hanging out with her cat and going thrifting at local antique shops.
